Netil Market Reopens

Eat Work Art welcomes back independent businesses and facilitates their revival

Netil Market, East-London’s diverse and vibrant market on the doorstep of London Fields, is pleased to reopen from 20th June (on a trial basis) at a fuller capacity to meet demand and latest lockdown safety measures that allows non-essential shops to operate once more.

The charismatic boutiques selling a curated selection of homeware, optics, fashion and outdoor pursuit accessories are opening their doors to sell their products with covid-secure measures in place to ensure customer and staff safety. In preparation for more visitors, Eat Work Art has introduced the following measures to protect the community:

  • Restricting entry to 30 members of the public in the market area at one time
  • 2 metre markings for queues within the market and outside
  • Setting up a one-way system for visitors
  • Warm water taps for hand-washing
  • Removal of all seated areas (food to be enjoyed outside the market area)
  • Only permanent residents operating, no stall-holders
  • Market supervisor and security operating for any queries

This summer, visitors can continue to enjoy their favourite food & drink stalls with full-takeaway options and some offering delivery including firm-favourites Pollo Feliz, BAO and Oli Babas. Anchored by community, craftsmanship and good food; the market is looking forward to being able to welcome locals back to taste, shop, eat and drink at a safe distance.

Many of the food vendors, including Planted and The Bagel Guys have been providing takeaway and delivery services throughout the lockdown period which has enabled them to keep business going despite the challenges.
