Alma Yard

A revitalised rope factory, Alma Yard comprises a series of buildings dating back to the mid 19th century and is set to become home to a community of creatives drawn to Plymouth’s burgeoning arts scene and relaxed pace of life.

Located on an iconic coastal rise, the site’s period features such as an original car lift are illuminated by streams of natural light and lofty spaces. These unique facets enrich the studios and workspaces, becoming the backdrop to this new and inspiring Eat Work Art location.

Just a short walk from Plymouth’s city centre, Alma Yard is a thriving hub of creativity. The perfect environment to create, collaborate, and innovate.

Alma Yard is conveniently located by Sutton Harbour, a short walk from the city centre, and is car-free site that promotes access by bicycle, public transport, or on foot.

Dan Bullock
"The first day I put paint to canvas in my new space at Alma Yard was absolutely magical. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that way before and I’m not sure how to explain it. The studio is phenomenal, the light is perfect, the people are amazing, and it’s only going to keep getting better and better as the site develops and grows.”
