Four Corners | Full Focus: Designing Real-World Experiences in The Age of Distraction
Joined by Kate Dawkins, Jason Bruges, Priya Khanchandani and Greg Bunbury.
What makes a piece of design command attention, invite participation or remain memorable long after it has been encountered?
Recorded live at NTs Loft in Netil House, this edition of Four Corner brings together four leading practitioners working across live experience, interactive installation, curatorial practice and graphic communication to explore how contemporary design shapes the way we see, move through and respond to the world around us.
Across very different disciplines and scales, Kate Dawkins, Jason Bruges, Priya Khanchandani and Greg Bunbury each use design to frame experience. Through spectacle and visual storytelling, responsive environments and technology, exhibition-making and cultural interpretation, and graphic communication in public space.
Drawing on practices that span mass live events, site-specific installations, exhibitions and public interventions, the discussion will examine attention as something designers actively shape, not simply something they compete for.
Four Corners is a monthly series at Netil House dedicated to the ideas, challenges and conversations shaping London's creative scene. Bringing together leading voices from across culture, each event opens up dialogue between disciplines and perspectives, spotlighting studio residents alongside our wider creative network.
