Bambi Is Landing at Netil House

James Dye, the co-owner of Frank's Café in Peckham and The Camberwell Arms, is to open Bambi, a new music-led wine bar and restaurant at Netil House this October. Operating from where Bright used to be, Bambi will offer up great music, wine, and food in equal measure, with the kitchen headed up by chef Henry Freestone, who previously win a Bib Gourmand at Peckham Cellars.

Eat Work Art worked closely with James to develop the concept and ensure that Bambi resonates with residents and the local area. In the evening, resident DJs will take over, playing from the custom-built wall of records over a high-spec vintage sound system by audio specialist Shivas Howard-Brown (of Friendly Pressure). The record collection and resident selectors will be curated by DJ, musician, poet and Run Dem Crew founder Charlie Dark MBE.

Henry’s food will provide the perfect accompaniment, with a menu of bar snacks and larger dishes that reflect his passion for casual, fun food, all underpinned by exceptional British produce. During the day, Bambi will be open for coffee and deli-style sandwiches including Chicken Caesar focaccia; Corn beef, mustard, pickles; and Stracciatella with roasted courgette.

Opening to the public on 6th October.
