Hackney Downs Studios Vegan Market curated by Fat Gay Vegan - 14th December
Eat Work Art welcomes the festive season by running a series of Conscious Christmas Markets built around sustainability. This unique series is spread across 4 free events at Netil Market and Hackney Downs Studios, each housing both guest stall traders along with the full-time residents who are permanent fixtures of the market.
On Saturday 14th December, the original London vegan market, Hackney Downs Vegan Market, is back for one day only in festive form!
This festive market has become an annual tradition for vegans and the vegan-curious. Curated by Fat Gay Vegan, expect a showcase of the best plant-based street food in the capital, as well as ethically made and sourced gifts such as beauty products, vegan candles, homeware, vintage and second-hand clothing and plenty of pantry vegan treats.
Guest stall traders including Vegan Bunny, Conscious House London and Reco will feature alongside full-time permanent shop residents Re:Store, Leaf Envy and El Garito as well as downmarket_ favourites Brunswick East, all good beer, Myanmar canteen WAHDEE and Kill the Closest Snake.
Plant brand Leaf Envy and zero-waste shop Re:Store have collaborated to create a "Green Gift Set", which makes the perfect stocking filler for the environmentally conscious this Christmas. The set includes a tote bag & cactus or succulent in terracotta pot from Leaf Envy, as well as a vegan soap bar & pouch, a bamboo toothbrush & vegan wax wraps.
