Robyn Yeang, Artist and founder of Curata invite us inside their studio at Netil Corner.

Inside the studio of Curata, founded by artist Robyn Yeang, you're met with the warmth of Western soul the moment you walk in. What's clear from the outset is that cowboy culture moves way beyond romanticism into its realness. Worn leather boots, weathered chaps and a potato hessian sack sit proudly within her space at Hackney Downs Studios. Her rustic, hand-thrown crockery lines the shelves, while a trusty kiln she's named Toaster works away, nestled in the corner.

It's a world Robyn built out of a difficult period in her life, where much of what was happening felt out of her control. In the middle of it all, she turned to painting as a way of healing and reconnecting with herself. What she's continued to build since is a beautiful practice of rustic, whimsical Western tableware that lives in ranches, homes and spaces across the world.
