On Thursday 20th September, Hackney Downs Studios resident Emma Sheehy is hosting the launch of her 'Why' exhibition. Come along, drink some beers and meet some silly creatures.

Emma Sheehy’s work has a comic voice. She imagines a cast of characters in drawings, objects and costumes. They are influenced by myths, medieval manuscripts and awkward public interactions.

Emma lives and works in Poplar, East London. She runs The Rectory Projects with three other artists. She has exhibited in Germany, London and Leeds.
