More about the projects:
Your contributions will be donated to projects delivered by three MA Applied Theatre students at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, in and around Mumbai. The first is working in collaboration with the SNEHA NGO, who work closely with women in the Dharavi slum. We will be contributing to a ten year collaboration by delivering a story-telling project with a small group of women who identify as victims of domestic violence. We will also be touring around rural schools sharing creative approaches to learning with teachers in training, in connection with the Shishavan Schools Project. We have been invited to work on both projects, and are all experienced practitioners specialising in the applied field. We hope you share our belief that creativity, and participatory arts practices can be hugely beneficial to both learning and enhancing quality of life, as well as providing a playful and joyful space of respite when experiencing challenging personal circumstances. We feel the same about a fun night of music and comedy, come and enjoy in the name of a good cause.
£6 for tickets. Starts at 19.30 on the 30th April at The Russet, E8 2BT
