Introduction to Clay Workshop at Clay Collective

Join the Clay Collective for a half day introductory workshop exploring a range of hand building techniques, including pinch pots, slab rolling and decorative techniques - suitable for complete beginners and improvers.

All materials are included. Up to three of your creations will be glazed and available to be picked up after a month. Bring ideas, snacks and drinks, and reference images if you like.

Running to co-operative principles, Clay Collective is a community of like-minded makers and sculptors working with clay, based at Hackney Downs Studios. With skill sharing and collaboration at its heart, the 12 members pool their expertise across an expanse of creative fields, from illustration to set design, photography, design writing and arts in health.

Offering a collective space for members to learn, explore and exchange knowledge, the studio also doubles as a hub for developing a varied and inclusive public programme.
