Studio Mama Wolf Launch Kickstarter

News travels fast here at Hackney Downs Studios, that's why when word starting spreading that Sandra Dieckmann and the Studio Mama Wolf team where going to be taking on a space in The Village Green, everyone in the community started to get rather excited.

Sandra's journey through Hackney Downs Studios has been a wild one. Starting in a small desk in our co-working space The Heartspace, before moving on to a larger studio and now finally a shop/workspace in The Village Green. Their vision for Studio Mama Wolf is to create a beautiful place to meet and let people into their profession as illustrators. Most artists & illustrators create behind closed doors (of course) but Studio Mama Wolf want to throw theirs wide open to the public with a dual-purpose shop and studio that allows a view of the creative process on a daily basis.

To get the ball rolling, Studio Mama Wolf have created a Kickstarter campaign, to help raise some funds for vital structural improvements to the space. You can donate as little as £1 to the campaign (which will make you a wonderful friends of Studio Mama Wolf, nothing to scoff at let me tell you) to £500 which will afford you a private commission from Sandra herself: something that she no longer offers to anyone.
