Virtual Open Studios Introduces... Lucie Ailsa

Lucie's work explores and celebrates the strangeness, diversity, and beauty of shapes found within nature. Through dissecting and abstracting botanical forms, her artworks aim to renew our focus, viewing nature through an optimistic prism of a vibrant, hyper saturated and colour-filled world.

Lucie Ailsa is a London based Artist and Textile Designer. Known for her bold botanical paintings, vivid use of colour and optimistic, vibrant work inspired by contemporary culture and the natural world we live in.

Following 10 years in the Fashion Industry designing prints for international brands and independent labels such as Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Paul Smith, Roland Mouret and Fiorucci; Lucie became increasingly interested in the exploration of her own ideas of botanical paintings, collage, printmaking and illustration.
