Established in 2009, EWA has since expanded across four sites; Hackney Downs Studios and Netil House in Hackney, Old Paradise Yard in Lambeth and Alma Yard in Plymouth, our sites are home to over 600 businesses in the creative industries.
An opportunity has arisen to play a central role in protecting and strengthening the negotiating position (primarily with landlords, suppliers and professional services, rather than our clients) of an innovative, fast growing company in East London and Devon.
You will be responsible for managing compressive broad base defence and pre-emptive attack strategies where necessary.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Research: working with relevant EWA stakeholders to understand the dispute and context; gather relevant correspondence as well as investigating historical records and compiling evidence of condition.
- Strategy and in-house action: implementing strategies for negotiation; carrying out any other activities that may increase our leverage, improve our negotiating position or otherwise aid our position or wider objectives.
You will have experience reading and understanding contracts and confidence researching the law and understanding any potential legal case.
You will be able to carry out basic surveys, as well as to build cases to lobby authorities, such as local MP, Mayor or key government representatives.
This is a full time role. The applicant will be either London-based or Devon-based with regular travel across sites, as well as further afield.
