Brunswick East is an independent cafe with locations in Dalston and Hackney Downs, owned by aussie sisters Shaunae and Natasha.
Established in 2015, their goal was to bring the very best of Australian cafe culture to east London.
Both sites offer an innovative and seasonal all day brunch menu with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Their speciality coffee is supplied by Square Mile roastery along with a curated selection of small independant roasteries from around the world.
In 2019, they opened their second location in Hackney Downs Studios, The Bakehouse, the location for their artisanal sourdough bakery. Here, they also offer brunch, cakes, patisseries and viennoisserie.
Brunswick East is a socially responsible business with everything on the menu being made in house and the kitchen operating at nearly zero waste. All of their packaging is ethical and sustainable and all interiors and furnishings have been hand built by them wherever possible, often using reclaimed materials.
