Covid-19 statement from Eat Work Art
In light of recent developments around Covid 19 and the impact it has had on creative business we wanted to keep you updated with the steps we have taken to protect our residents, staff and community at this challenging time.
Firstly we would like to extend a sincere thanks to our community for their ongoing passion, innovation and resilience during this time of change. We appreciate the difficulties within the current landscape and we want to continue to offer our guidance and support both to our own residents and to the wider community.
Eat Work Art is committed to ensuring that the creative community is provided with the space and services necessary to run critical business, whilst ensuring safety and security by following government guidelines closely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you still open for businesses to run onsite?
We are still operating our core services so residents who need to access their studio can do so whilst respecting social distancing measures. Our sites continue to be open 24/7 with full remote support from our team. A skeleton team is in place on site to continue to offer our core service to those residents that are unable to work from home. Our postal service is still running with new hygiene guidelines in place and we continue to receive deliveries for our residents.
To maintain clear and personal support to our residents, we have established our own Covid 19 Support Team. The team will leverage Eat Work Art’s experience as a creative business on a commercial lease and offer guidance to potential residents on available reliefs.
What measures are you taking to keep staff and residents safe?
To protect those on the premises, anyone on site at any given time must remain at least 2 metres apart from one another. We are operating with a skeleton team on site to limit nearly all contact between residents and the Eat Work Art team. Front of House are protected by a contactless postal system and must wear gloves at all times when handling any items that have been delivered from outside. Hand sanitiser is available in all reception areas and everyone entering/exiting the building will be directed to wash their hands. We are closely monitoring all official guidance for maintaining safety and hygiene, listed here.
The safety of our customers, staff and residents is our priority, with this in mind we have launched a virtual tour option as well as contactless consultations and onboarding across all of our sites. By working remotely, our team is on hand to take enquiries and answer any questions for rentals either now or in the future.
Are you taking studio enquiries?
Yes, we are still taking studio enquiries in order to facilitate creative companies in times of change. As mentioned, we have introduced a contactless advisory system which will operate remotely via phone, email and video call. To make the first step, please browse our available studios here, submit an enquiry or drop our team a line on either:
Netil House - email@example.com
Hackney Downs Studios - firstname.lastname@example.org
Old Paradise Yard - email@example.com
Where can I find more information on available studios and virtual viewings?
We are working on a step-by-step guide on the virtual viewings process from start to finish, including details on how you will be able to view the studios remotely. We will be sharing the information on our blog imminently, here.
What if I am interested in renting space in the future?
We would highly recommend registering your interest with our team so we can assess your business needs, availability and keep you on our waiting list for when the time is right for you. Our team can explore the options and advise you on potential next steps for securing your space.
I am a business owner in the creative industries. How can I find out about government support available for my business?
We have highlighted all options available for creative businesses on our website under the blog section here. We are in regular contact with Hackney Council to receive all information relevant to our business and residents and update our content instantly. Our dedicated Covid-19 team keeps their ear close to the ground on all Government support routes and will ensure our content is kept up to date.
